ARTIST BIO
I am the primary writer and producer for the nationally touring folk band Frances Luke Accord (NPR: “The definition of lean-in music”). I also regularly collaborate with Darlingside, Chris Dupont, Maggie Pope and others as a producer and engineer, and have produced over 20 musical releases in the past 10 years. I’ve shared stages with friends and legends May Erlewine, Nora Brown, Anaïs Mitchell, Mary Gauthier, and Tim Reynolds.
Before starting my career as a folk musician, I was a painter and illustrator. My visual art has exhibited in galleries in Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Chicago. You can see my recent illustrations in my sister’s novel The Rabbit Hutch, which won the 2022 National Book Award for Fiction, the Barnes and Noble Discover Prize, and the Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize. I have taught college fine art classes, tutored teenagers in 2D media and managed an early childhood development program in music and crafts.
I have occasionally designed logos, album covers and websites. I also recently began designing my own sample packs for sound and product designers.
I am currently the audio editor of a number of podcasts. Separately, I’ve also hosted interviews with notable guests including Avatar actress Janet Varney and LGBTQ champion Jim Martin.
I currently work from home in Baltimore.
