He is the primary writer and producer for the folk band Frances Luke Accord (NPR: “The definition of lean-in music”) and a regular collaborator with Darlingside and Chris Dupont. Nicholas has shared stages with Tony- and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and Grammy-nominated guitarist Tim Reynolds.
His visual art has exhibited in galleries in Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Chicago. His recent work includes an experimental 15-panel graphic chapter in his sister’s novel The Rabbit Hutch, which was the recipient of the 2022 National Book Award for Fiction, the Barnes and Noble Discover Prize, and the Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize.
